INNISFREE IN GURGAON NOW :D

AmorePacific  group, South Korea’s prominent beauty company has launched a second store for its 100% natural premium beauty brand Innisfree in DLF Galleria, Gurgaon after the tremendous response that it received from its first store launch in Khan Market.

The store houses an array of beauty products that have been infused with the pure natural goodness of the Jeju Island  which is the best place to grow organic green tea in the world.

I was fortunate enough to be invited as a blogger at their store launch. Their brand manager Ms. Mini Sood Banerjee introduced me to their variety of products including their most celebrated Green Tea product line. (divided further in balancing,moisturizing & fresh lines.) Their other products include the Wine range, makeup range, anti-aging range, sea weed range, as well as the cosmetic range.

We all talk about feminism almost on a daily basis. In fact we talk about it so much that it has become frustrating now. It looks like that women are promoting man-hating dressed in the robes of feminism. It’s true. Men are being portrayed as villains. But not all of us are the culprits.

The real culprits are the women who are practicing RADICAL FEMINISM which is all about seeking revenge for their suppression.  Suppression by men which has made us women feel helpless over the years. This type of feminism is unethical and promotes Man-Hating.

The rage of radical feminism is making you men suffer- emotionally, legally, socially as well as financially.

 I had a talk with my guy friends to know more about their sad stories. Almost all of them had the same answers. The common problems include-

·        Generalization of the man breed is the problem that pisses off most of  you men. It comes as no surprise that you guys are tired of being generalized as perverts and potential rapists.  Latest example being of the Indian student who was denied an internship by a German professor because of the highly publicized occurrences of rapes in India.

·        Speaking legally, the recent rape, as well as molestation laws leave you genuine men in a vulnerable state. You are often targeted and blackmailed by some women for their selfish needs on the grounds of filing molestation charges. In such cases, most of you men do not have a say unless you belong to some influential family or have any genuine evidence. So, women win without doing much.

·        Taking a peek into the family life of Indian men, you are stuck between the responsibility for your parents and your beloved wives. The women today who support radical feminism wish to be empowered, going against the basic Indian family values. They want to live separately and enjoy complete freedom. This leaves all you dear good men out there stuck in the swamp of responsibility for your parents and the love for their wives. Men suffer emotionally here.

·        Radical feminists want a female dominant society. They want to earn more than their husbands as well as their male counter parts. They prioritize their work over family. This race leaves them with no time for their kids as well as husbands. The end result is a divorce. Men suffer again.

Apart from the above (stated) problems, being a man in India is still not easy. You men are bound by a ‘protector protocol’ which forbids you  from shedding tears or being emotional because, of course in India, MEN DON’T CRY.

If you choose painting over cricket or cooking over wrestling; or if you do not earn well enough to support your family, it comes as  shame for you as well as your family. You do not have the right to embrace your individuality because you have responsibilities.

Men do pay a huge price for enjoying the higher status in the society. And truly speaking, the price is really high.

The society needs to understand that not all men are rapists and not all

women are victims.

P.S.-  To all the women out there who promote man-hating feminism, just know,

“You don't have to be anti-man to be pro-woman.”

Embrace true feminism and evolve.

MEN: YOUR WANT OR NEED??

CAUTION: This article does not aim at posing men as villains. This is just my take on trying to make us (women) a little more self dependant emotionally.

A woman does not need a man more than a fish needs a bicycle.

This holds true for women who are true feminists.

It was a long time back when I had actually discovered the difference between wanting a man and needing him. Most of us do not understand this difference. And still we hope for our (WOMEN’S) liberalization.

For defining the difference between both the terms, I would like to share a small incident that made this difference clear in my head.

There was this friend of mine who had hardly ever been single. For once, when she broke up with her boyfriend, she broke down. That time when I hoped for her trying to pick her up, she literally took a jump! She started dating another guy the very next day.

Judging her for this, she clearly confessed that if she did not take this step, she would end up getting panic attacks on realizing that she did not have her guy anymore. There would be nobody to talk to her at night, to go out with on romantic dates.. BLAH BLAH!.

This situation is what I exactly term as NEED.

We women often tend to confuse our relatively trivial desires with our survival needs. When it comes to men ,we must just be strong enough to want them, not need them.

When you WANT something, you wish you can have it, but you can live without it.
When you NEED something, you have to have it, it's essential. And you can't live without it.

Needs make you weak. Wants make your life interesting.

If you girls are still confused on whether you want them or need them, I hereby give you an evaluation tip.

Just remember the last time you had a heart-break and how you reacted to it.

Did you try to mend yourself by having a ‘ME TIME’?

Or did you take up the easier option of finding an alternative guy to help you heal?

Think and you will know for yourself. Finding an alternative shows your weakness and the NEED for having somebody.

Facing and accepting takes courage. Falling is fine. Standing up is the challenge and STANDING UP ALL ON YOUR OWN is the biggest challenge. Doing this yourself makes you strong.

Summing up the article, the only moral is –

When it comes to men; want them, love them, hate them, desire them, do whatever you feel like doing : just try not to need them!!

You will then, in reality, understand the true meaning of being INDEPENDENT.
